#134 Sunset at Tangaro, Essaouira

In 2013 we organized our first art exhibition with Beauty without Irony, called Air/Port, in Essaouira in Morocco. We were staying at Auberge Tangaro, on a hill in Diabat just outside the town, with a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean, especially when the sun went down. I took this photo because I was fascinated by the 'upside down' trees there -the sunset is a nice extra. The image ended up as part of the exhibition, printed on a huge flag- we had about 100 of them, featuring images by well known artists and art students (we always mix them up), lined up along the coast in Essaouira and a year later in the harbour in Antwerp, Belgium.
